Career

Øyvind Olimstad specialises in petroleum law, contract law, transactions and dispute resolution.

He advises domestic and international companies within the oil and gas and oil service industries with the drafting and negotiation of industrial contracts, structuring and execution of transactions, and dispute resolution. Øyvind is also highly experienced in regulatory petroleum law matters, including third-party access, licence awards, approvals from the authorities, unitisations and counselling related to the Joint Operating Agreement for Norwegian production licences.

Øyvind also has significant experience in drafting commercial contracts for companies within the onshore industry. He has acted as lead attorney in complex contract negotiations and has been involved in several cross-border transactions within both the onshore industry and the petroleum sector.
