Partner

Will is a Partner in the Private Client department, and head of the Tiverton office.

He specialises in advising private clients about Inheritance Tax planning, farm and business succession, Wills, estate and trust planning. This has included:

Tax and estate planning for clients with assets of up to £35m, including the consideration of trusts, appropriate Wills, utilising gifts from surplus income and Family Investment Companies, all to mitigate the impact of Inheritance Tax and preserve wealth within the family. Advising business owners and farming families on the most suitable structure of their business to secure inheritance tax exemptions and plan for succession. Dealing with clients and estates with overseas assets and issues of domicile, and liaising with lawyers in other jurisdictions. Preparing Disabled & Vulnerable Persons Trusts and Personal Injury Trusts. Advising on the winding up of complex family trusts.

Will is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Agricultural Law Association.

Will read History at Exeter University, and qualified as a solicitor in 2007.
