Partner and Head of Litigation and Arbitration

With more than 20 years of professional experience Pedro Montenegro Martins is the Partner at Deloitte Legal responsible for  the Litigation and Arbitration team.

His professional activity is especially focused on dispute settlement (negotiation, mediation and litigation) in the areas of Civil, Commercial and Insolvency Law, as well as pre-litigation and assets and credits recovery procedures.

In the area of ​​assets recovery, he has been involved in several domestic and international projects.

In the area of ​​insolvency law, it has been active in national and cross-border insolvency proceedings under European law, in addition to advising insolvent masses on assets recovery.

He is also responsible for managing the recovery of credit and asset portfolios of various entities and also managing legal teams in the context of massive litigation for assets recovery.

Pedro also provides specialized legal advice to public entities and national and international private economic players.

He has experience in developing legal compliance programs for national and international companies in different activity sectors.

Also, he has large experience in offense and criminal law, from the traditional criminal types to the new areas of punitive law.
