M&A

Mónica is the Managing Partner and coordinates the area of M&A in CTSU – Sociedade de Advogados, the Deloitte Legal practice in Portugal.

With 25 years of professional experience, Mónica works mainly in the areas of M&A, Competition, Corporate and Commercial Law.

She has coordinated and actively participated in several acquisitions and/or sale transactions, mergers, companies’ restructuring, both internal and cross border and involving different industries and economic sectors. Her experience includes, in this area, among other, the definition of reorganization models, the conduction of due diligence procedures, the drafting, negotiation and execution of agreements and contracts, and assistance in obtaining regulatory authorizations and in corporate integration.

Mónica has participated in several privatization procedures, in particular in the areas of infrastructures and transports and in renegotiation procedures of public and private partnerships.

In the area of competition law, she has large experience regarding mergers control, having conducted several notification proceedings before the Competition Authority, involving different industries and economic sectors, and also regarding prohibited practices, antitrust and vertical agreements, rendering advisory to companies, in particular in the import and export and distribution sectors. Her experience includes, further, state aid matters.

Provides legal advisory to companies and corporate groups.
