Career
Florentina is the Coordinating Partner of the competition, employment and insolvency law practices within Reff & Associates and is an attorney-at-law with an experience of over 21 years.
Florentina assists a large category of clients in dealing with complex distributorship and trading structures, investigations of the Competition Council, implementation of competition law compliance programs as well as merger clearance and other M&A related competition law implications, including matters related to foreign investments (FDI regime). Florentina’s expertise lies in designing and implementing robust compliance programs, guiding clients through high-stakes investigations and managing dawn raids. She helps clients navigating the complexities of multinational distributorship agreements, ensuring that her clients remain compliant while optimizing their business strategies. Florentina also has a significant experience in dealing with the challenges brought by the recent legislation regarding unfair trade practices in the agricultural and food supply chain.
Florentina is the coordinator of the Competition & Antitrust working group at the level of Deloitte Central Europe and part of the management team of the Centre of Expertise in Competition law of Deloitte Legal network.
On insolvency law aspects Florentina assists clients on debtor’s or creditor’s side in a large scale of insolvency related matters, including opening of the insolvency procedure, recovery of debts, assistance during the insolvency procedure by formulating claims, contesting or defending decisions and measures taken by insolvency practitioner, creditors or syndic judge, structuring and implementation of acquisition of distressed assets.
Florentina is involved in some of the most complex and sensitive employment law issues, such as transfer of employees, white-collar dismissals, collective negotiations or discrimination and harassment matters. She proved that she is not only a strategic thinker and leader in her field, but also a practical hands-on lawyer, staying close to clients and their needs, quickly identifying the risks as well as mitigating factors.
