Specialized in Intellectual Property, Competition law and legal aspects related to Information and Communication Technology, Alain Alberini is involved in the national and international strategy of protecting, implementing and defending his clients' intangible assets. It includes representing clients before judicial (civil and criminal) and administrative authorities, as well as negotiating and drafting complex agreements (including M&A transactions). As a corollary, Alain Alberini is active in the fields of cybersecurity, data protection, health sciences, media and entertainment law.

Alain Alberini is ranked by the World Trademark Review in relation to trademark enforcement and litigation, as well as in relation to trademark prosecution and strategy.

Before joining Walder Wyss in 2024, Alain Alberini was a partner for six years in a Geneva and Lausanne-based boutique law firm specialized in business and innovation law.

Alain Alberini is the Chairman of the attorneys-experts panel of Justitia 4.0 (digitalization of the Swiss justice system) (since 2022; member of the panel since 2018).

Education

Alain Alberini was educated at the Universities of Lausanne and Zurich (BLaw and MLaw) and UCLA (LL.M. in Media, Entertainment, and Technology Law and Policy Specialization). He also holds a Ph.D. from the University of Lausanne in trademark law and unfair competition. Thanks to his academic background and professional experience, Alain Alberini teaches in a number of institutions at the university level and publishes in his areas of expertise. He notably teaches the Intellectual Property class of the Neuchatel University School of Law.
