Position

Clodagh is a Partner in William Fry’s Asset Management & Investment Funds department and specialises in advising asset managers in relation to the establishment, regulation and ongoing management of a wide variety of investment funds.

She  has a particular focus in the evolving areas of artificial intelligence (AI), data protection and environmental, social governance (ESG), and their impact on asset managers. She is a member of the Irish Funds Green Team Network, the William Fry Sustainability Steering and Environmental Committees, and the Financial Services Strategy Group, working closely with the William Fry Technology Department on continuous AI regulatory developments. Her work has been shortlisted by the Financial Times in the Innovative Lawyers Awards

It is further recognised for its regulatory expertise and its commitment to sustainability and SFDR. It represents a number of the top promoters to Irish domiciled funds by assets under management (AUM) and advises a significant market share of the largest fund structures in the jurisdiction. The firm routinely advises numerous large financial institutions. Vincent Coyne, an experienced partner in UCITS and alternative funds (especially ICAV structures), co-heads the team alongside James Phelan, who is also rated for UCITS and regulatory knowledge.
