Klaas Meersma is a lawyer and partner at AKD whose work revolves entirely around providing legal services in the care sector. His clients include cure and care institutions and their sector organisations. Clients appreciate not only his clear advice, but also his capacity to empathise and look more broadly than just at the legal aspects of the case.

Klaas combines knowledge of health care law and corporate law with knowledge of the sector. He advises institutions about governance, co-determination and their legal relationships with others. Institutions regularly ask Klaas to help with the legal structuring of the partnerships between them. He is also involved in mergers of hospitals and other care providers. Klaas' work also covers takeovers, for example of laboratories or institutions that are facing financial problems.
