Pol Cools is a counsel at AKD’s Brussels office. He focuses his legal practice on real estate, retail and distribution law. His clients include Belgian and non-Belgian enterprises and public authorities, looking for hands-on legal advice and sound legal assistance in all stages of their project.

Clients call on Pol for negotiating and drafting contracts such as sale and purchase agreements, immovable VAT leasing contracts, usufruct agreements, office and industrial leases, etc. Pol assists retailers on a daily basis in establishing, expanding and managing their network of stores by concluding commercial leases (high-streets and shopping centers), negotiating lease renewals, terminating or assigning lease contracts, etc. He regularly represents retailers and landlords in court in the framework of a lease renewal or rent revision dispute.
