Huub Laauwen is partner at AKD. He specialises in providing tax advice to national and international companies and high-net-worth individuals. Assisting clients in a wide variety of matters, Huub advises primarily in the fields of corporation tax and international tax treaties in the context of structurings, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and intellectual property structures. He also advises high-net-worth individuals on the tax aspects of the management of their assets, whether held nationally or worldwide.

Huub has over 30 years’ experience working in international tax consultancy. For several years, he also headed the Tax Department of an international company in the service industry with activities in over 50 countries. In this role, he was responsible for all international tax issues.

His combined experience as an international tax adviser and as a corporate tax consultant means Huub is able to assist clients in a wide variety of matters and put forward practical solutions. Huub has considerable experience advising international companies on devising their worldwide tax policies and strategies.

Huub read tax law at the University of Leiden.

He is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (Nederlandse Orde van Belastingadviseurs)(NOB), the Tax Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the International Fiscal Association (IFA).
