Career

Cedric Bless is a partner in AKD Luxembourg. Cedric is part of the AKD Luxembourg corporate department.

Before joining AKD in 2016, Cédric worked for a magic circle law firm and then for a leading Luxembourg law firm where he advised both local and international clients (such as credit institutions, institutional companies, private equity firms and investment funds) on various legal matters relating to the setting-up of corporate structures along with the implementation of financing transactions, joint-ventures and strategic control decisions, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, winding-up of corporate structures, directors and managers’ liability and the day-to-day management of Luxembourg corporate entities.

Cédric advises multinational clients, including major private equity firms, hedge funds and non-regulated real estate funds, on structuring and financing of international transactions, formation of joint venture and securitization vehicles, corporate organizations and reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, exit strategies and corporate governance matters.

Cédric resolves complex commercial questions to structure and restructure clients’ businesses. He also provides expert advice on financing activities with a focus on financial, banking, securitization and (re)structuring transactions. He represents lenders and borrowers in all types of financing transactions and advises on collateral arrangements, financial instruments and related transactional documents.

Education

Cédric studied both in France and the Republic of Ireland. He graduated from the University of Nancy II (France) where he obtained a Master's degree in European Business Law (Magistère de Juriste d’Affaires Européen) and from the University Paul Cezanne, Aix-en-Provence III (France) where he obtained a specialized Masters' degree in International Business Law – DJCE (Diplôme de Juriste Conseil d’Entreprises).
