Career

Jacob specialises in complex commercial litigation and arbitration proceedings and has provided advice to a considerable number of Danish and foreign clients for several years in respect of complex and high-value disputes before the courts and domestic and international arbitration tribunals. 

Jacob advises on disputes within a wide range of legal areas, but he is particularly experienced in and focuses on cases concerning M&A, corporate and shareholders disputes, breach of contract, directors', auditors' and attorneys' liability, product liability, financial sector disputes, W&I and insurance.

A substantial part of the cases on which Jacob provides advice are settled by arbitration of which Jacob has vast experience, and he is often appointed as arbitrator (chairman, sole arbitrator or party-appointed) in domestic and international arbitrations, including arbitrations under the auspices of the ICC and the Danish Institute of Arbitration.

Education

Jacob graduated in law (Master of Laws) from Aarhus University in 2000, was admitted to the Danish Bar in 2003, and to practise law before the Danish high courts in 2008.

In 2007, Jacob also obtained an LL.M. in dispute resolution from the University of Sydney.
