Position

Polina Permyakova focuses her practice on international arbitration matters. She represents clients before arbitral tribunals, acts as an arbitrator and legal expert. Her principal areas of practice include disputes relating to energy & natural resources, international trade, joint ventures & shareholder agreements, and M&A disputes. Polina has significant experience from complex high-value disputes across a range of industries, resolved under different substantive laws and in different arbitral seats. In addition to arbitration, Polina represents clients before Swedish courts. Clients describe her as “very talented and intelligent”.

Recent work highlights:

  • Counsel for major suppliers of natural gas in a number of high-value price review arbitrations and other gas supply disputes
  • Arbitrator in a number of international arbitrations involving different substantive laws and seats
  • Counsel for claimants and respondents in various set aside proceedings in Swedish courts
  • Legal expert on Swedish law in arbitration and state court proceedings, including investment treaty arbitration
