Dr Jochen Pörtge is Partner at ADVANT Beiten in Düsseldorf and member of the conflict resolution practice group. He advises companies and corporate bodies on all aspects of white collar crime law. His area of expertise comprises preventive and repressive compliance advice as well as corporate defense. Dr Jochen Pörtge has defended numerous companies in administrative fine proceedings brought by regulatory authorities, coordinated the defense of corporate bodies and advised on searches and seizures. He has many years of extensive experience in conducting internal investigations, including cross-border investigations. Dr Jochen Pörtge advises on compliance obligations and criminal liability risks of corporate bodies. Current topics of advice include, in particular, supply chain due diligence, whistleblower protection, prevention of money laundering, foreign trade law and export control, criminal tax law and cyber security.

Dr Jochen Pörtge studied law at the Universities of Passau, Heidelberg and Verona as well as at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer. He was admitted to the German bar in 2003. He initially worked as an independent criminal defense lawyer and in a general practice law firm, from 2008 to 2010 for Görling Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft focusing on the enforcement of civil claims against white collar offenders, from 2010 to 2018 for Clifford Chance in the White Collar, Regulatory & Compliance practice group and from 2018 to 2022 for Pinsent Masons in the White Collar Crime, Investigations & Compliance practice group. Dr Jochen Pörtge joined ADVANT Beiten in 2023.
