Career

Mathilda is an attorney at law with expertise covering a wide range of legal areas within intellectual property, including the application of marketing law, the negotiation, drafting and review of contracts, and exploring how to secure and enforce the commercial viability of IP rights. A skilled IP strategist, she assists clients with both prosecution, enforcement and litigation, representing her clients through the courts when necessary.

For Mathilda, the complex and challenging nature of IP presents an opportunity for continuous development, and her clients appreciate her practical, diligent and proactive approach to both case law and legal advice. Such clients include both SMEs and multinationals from diverse fields such as the food and beverage, fashion and cosmetics industries, through to mechanical and chemical engineering and those at the cutting edge of software development.

Her experience and knowledge has also seen her become an integral part of the innovation journey to many small start ups, advising them on their IP and investment strategy, as well as developing a better understanding of how to secure and leverage IP rights, alongside helping to establish their brand identity.

Following an international education, with undergraduate studies in San Diego and legal courses in Ghent, Mathilda graduated with a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from Lund University in 2018. Her specialisation was in Intellectual Property and her Master thesis examined the growing European legislation on the subject of product placement and media sponsorship.

Mathilda previously represented Sweden as part of the National Diving Team, including during her time in the US and, prior to joining Zacco, she worked part time with another Swedish Law firm.
