Tim is a partner in the Technology and Data team in Fieldfisher’s Brussels office.

Tim is a specialist in the area of privacy and information law and provide strategic and practical advice on the full range of data protection issues affecting business operations.

Tim co-heads the Technology and Data department in our Brussels' office. He is a specialist data protection and e-commerce advisor and an information technology contract negotiator and litigator.

He provides strategic and practical advice on global data protection compliance issues to start-ups, large multinationals and public organisations. He has a particular interest in privacy challenges relating to digital technologies and services (geo-localisation, IoT, cloud computing, big data, cookies etc.).

Another important part of his practice consists of drafting and negotiating complex IT service and outsourcing agreements and advising on e-commerce matters.

In the past, he has been seconded to Euroclear, where he managed many complex IT contract negotiations and the data protection aspects related to them.

Tim has a significant experience servicing clients in the TMT, Life Sciences and Financial Services sector.

Tim is a regular speaker at high-profile data protection conferences and he regularly publishes in the field of data protection.

Tim is a member of the European Advisory Board and of the Teaching Faculty of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and holder of their CIPP/E certification.

Tim is a member of eComlex, an international association of leading IT and e-commerce lawyers established to meet the needs of businesses throughout Europe.
