Position
Melanie Ludolph is a Senior Associate in Fieldfisher´s Hamburg office and advises on data protection issues.
One focus is on advising on the special requirements in the area of (online) marketing as well as on the link between life sciences and data protection, as there are a number of complex questions regarding the collection and use of sensitive data. She also provides comprehensive advice on all issues of employee data protection.
The core of her work is also advising on international data transfers. In this context, she advises start-ups as well as globally operating corporations on legal questions of Data Protection Law in connection with the legally permissible design of regulatory practice. Finally, there is an increasing need for advice with regard to regulatory proceedings, in which she is involved at both the German and international level.
As companies have to comply with regulatory requirements across all sectors, she advises clients from almost all sectors. The focus is on understanding the business model and commercial interests.
Career
Prior to joining Fieldfisher, she gained several years of valuable experience in a specialised consulting firm, where she advised companies and international groups from various industries on all topics of Data Protection Law and related legal fields.
Languages
She advises our clients in German and English.
Education
She completed her studies at the University of Hamburg with a focus on "Information and Communication". She then completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Schleswig.
