Position

Dr Solvei Hartmannsberger is a Counsel in Fieldfisher´s Dusseldorf office and advises on Antitrust Law.

She advises our clients on all issues of German and European Antitrust Law. This includes, in particular, advising on and conducting antitrust damages actions, merger control notifications to the German Federal Cartel Office and the European Commission as well as advising companies on compliance issues. In addition, assisting clients in cartel fine and abuse proceedings before national and EU authorities and courts is an essential part of her work. She regularly advises on distribution antitrust issues in connection with research and development agreements as well as licensing agreements.

She is recommended as an expert in the field of Antitrust Law by, among others, Kanzleimonitor and Handelsblatt in the category of best lawyers in the field of Antitrust Law.

Career

Before joining Fieldfisher, she was a lawyer in the antitrust teams of two commercial law firms in Dusseldorf and in Stuttgart and previously worked as a stagiaire at the European Commission, Directorate General for Competition, and at the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V. (BDI) in the Competition Department in Brussels.

Personal

She wrote her doctoral thesis on the topic of "Cartel fines against parent companies of parity joint ventures". The doctoral thesis was published in 2016 in the FIW publication series by Carl-Heymanns Verlag.
