Julia Schmitz is a Senior Associate in Fieldfisher's Dusseldorf office advising national and international clients on M&A transactions and on general Corporate and Capital Market Law matters.

She provides ongoing legal advice to managers and (supervisory) board members, in particular on identifying, preventing and defending against potential liability risks as well as on general corporate law matters, especially on stock corporation, limited liability company and company group law as well as compliance.

In addition, she gained experience in the areas of Restructuring & Insolvency and Corporate/M&A through internships and her long-term work as a Research Assistant in leading international law firms in Frankfurt am Main and Dusseldorf.

She advises our clients in German and English.

She successfully completed her law studies with a focus on Corporate Law at the University of Bielefeld. During her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Dusseldorf, she spent time in the Corporate practice of Fieldfisher and at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Dusseldorf.
