Position

Alice Zinnecker, LL.M. (Glasgow) is an Associate in Fieldfisher's Hamburg office and advises in the Commercial sector.

She advises national and international companies on all matters of Contract, Commercial and Distribution Law, as well as in the area of product compliance.

Her work focuses on the contractual relationships of our clients within the supply chain and with their contractual partners. She supports companies with her legal expertise in restructuring or setting up their distribution systems, in particular in drafting and negotiating their distribution contracts (commercial agency, authorised dealer and other distribution contracts as well as e-commerce). In addition, she advises on framework, supply, transport, service and works contracts, as well as general terms and conditions (GTC) for business with companies and/or consumers.

When drafting contracts, she prioritises pragmatic and legally secure solutions. Matters and contracts with an international dimension are an integral part of her advisory practice, which also includes the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). When drafting contracts, she always has the requirements of legal enforcement (including internationally) in mind and, in the event of a dispute, she also supports our clients in enforcing or defending against claims in Commercial and Contract Law (commercial litigation).

In addition to Commercial and Contract Law, Alice Zinnecker advises on compliance with regulatory requirements on the distribution of products (product compliance) and on product liability. Her focus is on advising on labelling, marketing, safety and disposal requirements for products under national and EU law, in particular on the legal issues of the EU Green Deal and in the area of ESG (e.g. Ecodesign, F-gases, Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act/WEEE, Deforestation Regulation), which are currently developing particularly dynamically.

Career

Before joining Fieldfisher, she worked for two years as a lawyer in a boutique law firm in Hamburg specialising in Maritime Commercial Law and represented clients in and out of court in this field.

Languages

She advises our clients in German and English.
