Position

I am a partner in the competition, regulatory and trade group in Fieldfisher's Brussels office with over 20 years of experience covering the full spectrum of competition law services.

Career

My practice focuses on all aspects of EU and German competition law, including behavioural antitrust and antitrust litigation, merger control, cartels and State aid.

I have specific sector expertise in energy, transport, chemicals, tobacco products, consumer electronics, steel,  agrochemicals and the consumer food industry.

My work involves regularly representing clients on competition matters before the European courts in Luxembourg and before civil courts in Germany, as well as before the European Commission in Brussels and national competition authorities.

In addition to this, I also have significant experience in advising clients on competition compliance matters and policies, in particular the setting-up of internal competition compliance programs and the running of related competition law and dawn raid trainings.

I am a member of the Belgisch-Deutsche Juristenvereinigung and of the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V.. I also sit on the editorial board of renowned publication "World Competition – Law and Economics Review" and am the editor responsible for the Europe Section of the "Australian Journal of Competition and Consumer Law".

After my graduation from the Rheinische Freidrich-Wilhlems-Universität in Bonn I obtained an LL.M at the University of Edinburgh.
