Ferry van Schoonhoven is one of the founders of Lexence. He advises and litigates in matters regarding leasing, redevelopments, renovations, and sell-and-lease-back constructions. His clients are Dutch and international companies.

Ferry is a member of the Vereniging van Huurrecht Advocaten (Leasing Lawyers Association). He is a author of the Praktijkboek Huur en Verhuur (Casebook on Renting and Letting) and the Handboek Vastgoed (Real estate Guidebook). Ferry is also member of the editorial staff of the Tijdschrift Onroerend Goed (Real estate Journal). He regularly teaches at the Amsterdam School of Real Estate, ATWR and Euroforum. Ferry is board member of the Japan Festival Foundation, the Rotary Amsterdam Spinoza and chairman of  the Japan Desk of the Amstelveen hospital.

Ferry has been with Lexence since 1992. Before that he worked at a law firm in Washington D.C. He studied law and International law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and received a master’s degree in Comparative Law (M.C.L.) from the University of Illinois, U.S.A. Ferry was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 1985.
