Bart van Zadelhoff is specialized in tax law, more specifically in turnover tax (VAT) and transfer tax. His consultancy work focuses on the real estate practice, in which he works with Lexence’s lawyers and civil-law notaries as well as with Meijburg & Co.

Bart regularly teaches and publishes articles related to tax law. He is also a deputy justice at the Appeals Court of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. In 2017, Bart was conferred emeritus status as professor of tax law at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.

After completing his studies in Dutch law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Bart worked for the tax authorities, where he completed the (post-doctoral) training course as an inspector. He was then affiliated to the Universiteit van Amsterdam in a teaching capacity, where he received his doctorate in 1992 with a thesis on 'Real Estate and Value Added Tax'. Bart was sworn in in 1984.
