Career
Philipp Leitner has worked for SAXINGER in Linz since 2013.
Philipp Leitner advises in particular on data protection law, IT security law and software and domain law. In addition, European antitrust and state aid law are further focal points of his work. Due to his doctoral degree, he has extensive knowledge of European and Austrian (special) data protection law with particular reference to technology and research law issues. In addition to his work as a lawyer, Philipp Leitner is an external lecturer at both the Johannes Kepler University Linz and the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems. He is also a research member of the LIT Digital Transformation and Law Lab at Johannes Kepler University Linz and conducts research on current legal issues of digitalisation, especially in the area of artificial intelligence (AI).

2021: Completion of doctoral studies in law at the Johannes Kepler University Linz on the topic of "Data protection law framework conditions of intelligent systems in medicine" (part-time).
2017: Passed the bar exam with with distinction.
2015: University of Cambridge ESOL International Legal English Certificate (ILEC) with distinction.
2009 - 2014: Studies in Business Law (LL.B.) at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, including one year at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen, with a focus on corporate law, finance and marketing and innovation.
2007 - 2012: Diploma studies in law, initially at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, from 2008 at the University of Vienna with a focus on corporate and commercial private law, IT law and medical law.
