Else Loes Pasma is managing partner at Wijn & Stael. She has been a practicing attorney since 1993 and joined Wijn & Stael as a labor and employment attorney in 1999. She focuses her practice on matters involving involuntary employment termination and administrative disputes, co-determination, insourcing/outsourcing, collective bargaining, ethical misconduct and the Senior Executives in the Public and Semi-Public Sector (Standards for Remuneration) Act (WNT) and Financial Supervision Act (WFT). She counsels, negotiates and litigates in complex cases and acts as a sparring partner for directors and regulators.
Dedicated and Strategic Her experience and expertise provide her with a unique skill set to handle complex disputes that require a strategic approach. Such cases usually involve a high level of urgency, a large number of stakeholders, potential media scrutiny or an administrative and political context. She believes that early involvement can prove invaluable in assessing the merits of a dispute and developing a strategy to bring it to a satisfactory resolution. Else Loes Pasma is co-head of the employment law department with Leendert Kruidenier. In January 2022 she was appointed (her third term) as one of two Managing Partners. She stepped down as manging partner in January 2024, as she would be appointed as member of the board of the Dutch Bar Association per 1 July 2024. This board membership makes her a leading individual, apart from her employment law practice, in the Netherlands as the DBA represents and sets rules and legislation for the 19.000 members of the DBA.
Else Loes celebrated her 30th anniversary as lawyer in December 2023. She offers a wide range of experience with a particular expertise in individual and collective dismissals, board room and senior executive disputes, wrongful dismissal, restructurings and sexual harassment (Else Loes has become a leading voice and expert on sexual harassment matters and integrity breaches in the workplace. She lectures on this subject to specialized employment judges in the Netherlands). In October 2023 she gave lectures to judges specialized in employment law on this theme together with Maaike Faber.
