Contributing to local and international conferences and seminars

The Cyprus

Fiduciary Association (CFA) organised a valuable and practical seminar titled

“Rights of Settlor and Beneficiaries under a Trust” on 28 and 29 September 2017

in Nicosia and Limassol respectively.

Senior and

Managing Partner, Mr Stavros Pavlou made an extensive presentation analysing all

matters relating to the role of settlors and beneficiaries under a trust, with

particular emphasis on Cyprus International Trusts.

Moreover, panellist Mrs Stella Strati,

Limited Partner of our law firm, joined the discussions around real case study

scenarios, providing attendees with a more practical aspect of the matters

involved.

Lawyers,

directors and employees of administrative service providers attended the

seminar, raised interesting questions and gave a very positive feedback, thus deeming the seminar a huge

success.

Furthermore, the Association of International Tax Consultants (AITC) organised its annual

conference in Bucharest, Romania on 1st and 2nd September 2017.

As a member of

AITC for many years, Patrikios Pavlou & Associates LLC was represented at

the AGM by Mr Stylianos Trillides, Senior Lawyer in the Corporate Department of

the firm.

Mr Trillides

had the opportunity to meet and network with all other professional members of

the association from all over the world, as well as to take part in

presentations and workshops on various interesting topics such as European

Directives on tax developments, international tax planning challenges and other

internal association matters.

Additionally,

during the AGM, our Senior & Managing Partner, Mr Stavros Pavlou, was

elected in the Board of Directors of AITC and was appointed for International

Affairs. Mr Pavlou expressed his gratitude and commitment towards the

associations’ goals.

Finally, the Board and the rest of the members thanked

their hosts for the impeccable organisation of the event and everyone wished a

great and fruitful cooperation for many years to come.
