Career

Born in Milan, Italy, on September 9, 1976, he graduated from the Catholic University of Milan in 2000 (J.D. magna cum laude) and was admitted in Italy in 2003. In 2005 he obtained a Ph.D. degree (dottorato di ricerca) in Commercial Law. He is Associate Professor (Professore associato) in Banking and financial law at the Catholic University of Piacenza (Italy), after receiving appointments by other Italian and foreign Universities, in particular in Germany (Bielefeld, 2007; Heidelberg, 2009). He is the author of numerous publications in Italian and European reviews, and of two monographs on corporate and financial law matters (Le azioni correlate (Tracking stocks), Milan, 2009; I conflitti di interesse degli intermediari bancari nella prestazione di servizi di investimento (Brokers’ conflicts of interests in providing investment services under US law), Milan, 2008). His Ph.D. thesis was awarded as the best Ph.D. thesis in commercial and banking law in a competition launched by “Associazione Gian Franco Campobasso”. Prof. Paolo Flavio Mondini sits in the Editorial Committee of the scientific reviews Banca, Borsa, Titoli di Credito, Rivista delle società and Rivista del Diritto societario, and has been a speaker at several conferences on company and financial law.
