Position

Senior Solicitor & Chartered Tax Adviser - specialist area of practice is in private client work and French property, tax and estates work. More specifically in respect of English law work, advising on the drafting of wills, providing tax and estate planning advice, advice on trusts (creation, restructuring and termination). In respect of French law, advising clients in relation to sales and purchases of French property, French succession (in particular advising on the implication of French succession and inheritance tax law and how it is applied for both French and non-French resident individuals, and the best structure for wills), and assisting with the administration of estates comprising French assets. UK tax specialism lies primarily with inheritance tax and capital gains tax. Chartered tax adviser and member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Regularly gives seminars on topics such as the aspects of making a will and the impact of new legislation affecting personal taxes and French property issues.

Education

The Holt School, Wokingham; University of East Anglia, with one year at Tours University, France, LLB dual honours Law with French Law and French Language, 1999; Chartered Institute of Taxation, Chartered Tax Adviser exams, 2005, Spofforth award for the highest mark in the personal specialist paper.
