Career

Paul M. Kiss studied law at the University of Cologne from 1986 to 1992 and completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne from 1993 to 1995. Prior to his admission as a lawyer in 1995, he worked for CBH as a research assistant. Paul M. Kiss has been a partner at CBH since 2002.

Paul M. Kiss advises and represents his clients in all areas of real estate and real estate law. His expertise includes the support and structuring of real estate transactions of all kinds as well as the support of commercial rental, lease and real estate leasing agreements. The drafting and negotiation of leasehold contracts is another focus of his activities. In addition to well-known – partly medium-sized, partly institutional – real estate investors and portfolio owners, his clients also include major chain stores. In addition to brokerage law, the scope of his consulting services also includes property development law, including the drafting of individual property development contracts, legal real estate management with topics such as energy contracting and the handling of real estate tax law issues.

Since 2008, Paul M. Kiss has been the author of the chapters “Brokerage Law” and “Lease Law” in the standard work “Kersten/Bühling”, “Book of Forms and Practice of Voluntary Jurisdiction”, which has now been published in its 26th edition. He regularly publishes specialist articles in the Immobilienzeitung and holds advanced training courses and seminars for specialist lawyers and real estate professionals on real estate purchase contracts and commercial tenancy law at the BeckAkademie, Munich. Paul M. Kiss is a member of the gif “Gesellschaft für Immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung e.V.”, the DFJV “Deutscher Fachjournalistenverband” and the “Ausschuss für Immobilienwirtschaft” of the Cologne Chambers of Industry and Commerce.
