Niklas Kinting joined CBH in 2008 as an attorney at law in the IP, Media and IT Law Practice Group. His practice focuses on technical intellectual property rights and information technology law.
As an expert in inventor law, he advises companies of all sizes on the remuneration of employee inventors, the introduction of incentive and inventor remuneration systems and inventions within the corporate group. His clients include leading companies in the software, robotics, automotive, mechanical and plant engineering, medical devices and semiconductor sectors, who also rely on his dedicated advice and competence in technology transfers, cooperation and patent evaluation issues.
In information technology law, Niklas Kinting accompanies hardware and software projects of all kinds and at all project stages. Logistics and process automation projects as well as Smart Data and Big Data projects are a special area of expertise. In addition, he advises on licensing contract law (e.g. open source, license audit) and data protection issues. His clients in the field of information technology law include companies from the automotive, simulation, aerospace, energy, wholesale and retail, and e-mobility sectors as well as public institutions such as transport companies and universities.
Niklas Kinting studied commercial law and intellectual property at the University of Cologne.
Niklas Kinting is a lecturer at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and regularly gives lectures and seminars on various topics of intellectual property law.
