Enrique is counsel at the firm and has over 16 years of experience in environmental law, health care and regulatory matters, with focus on healthcare, natural resources, and consumer protection.

Enrique advises companies in identifying and obtaining any kind of permits, licenses, authorizations, and concessions required for their activities and operation. This includes a wide range of industries such as health services, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, water, energy, mining, tourism, among others. He also has extensive experience advising on the regulation, importation, management, transportation and distribution of hazardous substances and other raw materials required for industrial purposes.

Likewise, Enrique has built a successful Life Sciences & Healthcare practice. He regularly advises clients the storage and distribution of regulated products such as drugs, food supplements, medical devices, cosmetics, food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and tobacco. He is also knowledgeable in terms of the regulatory compliance of new and innovative products and their technology. Similarly, Enrique advises clients regarding product promotion activities and compliance within the healthcare and consumer protection regulations.

He regularly acts on behalf of clients seeking permit approvals before administrative authorities such as the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT); the National Agency for Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection of the Hydrocarbons Sector (ASEA) and the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS), among other government entities at local, state and federal level.

Enrique is regularly invited as speaker at environmental and health regulation events.

He holds a Diploma in Sanitary Law from Escuela Libre de Derecho and a Law Degree (J.D. equivalent) from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), both in Mexico City.
