Position
Pablo Hontoria joined Pérez-Llorca in 2011. In 2015 he participated in the opening of Pérez-Llorca’s New York office, where he worked until 2017. Between 2018 and 2020 Pablo worked as an international associate in the New York office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher. In 2020 he returned to the Madrid office and since the beginning of 2023, after its opening, he has been in charge of Pérez-Llorca’s Singapore office.
Career
Pablo specialises in advising domestic and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, transfers of assets and business units, as well as corporate law and corporate governance matters. He advises both funds and industrial groups on transnational transactions in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, software and food.
While at Willkie Farr & Gallagher in New York as an international associate, he was involved in M&A and venture capital transactions, both in the United States and internationally, with a special focus on the Latin American market.
Recently, he has been involved in the transactions led from the firm’s New York and Madrid offices and has participated in and led a number of significant transactions in the US, Asia-Pacific and Spanish markets in recent years.

In terms of teaching, Pablo regularly gives seminars and classes on mergers and acquisitions at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE), the Centro de Estudios Garrigues and the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR).
He also regularly publishes articles on current issues, including the following: “Nuevo control de las inversiones extranjeras directas en la Unión Europea” and “Acciones de lealtad: virtudes, defectos e incógnitas”, both of which were published in the newspaper Cinco Días.
