Career
André Brunschweiler joined LALIVE’s Zurich office in 2010, shortly after the opening of the same. He is a partner in LALIVE’s litigation team but also provides business advisory. His may focus is on corporate, commercial and employment law, including shareholders’ disputes. He also regularly advises and represents clients in relation to the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards and the related asset recovery as well as insolvency proceedings.
During 2013/14 André was seconded as Of Counsel to a leading Chinese business law firm in Beijing where he primarily worked on cross-border corporate and M&A matters, including in- and outbound investments, through joint ventures and other corporate structures.
André Brunschweiler is vice-chair of the IPBA’s Cross-Border Investment Committee and is a member of the Zurich Bar Association (ZAV) and the Swiss Bar Association (SAV).
Before joining LALIVE, André Brunschweiler worked as a trainee-lawyer with Schellenberg Wittmer in Zurich and Geneva (2006 – 2008) and as a law clerk at the District Court of Zurich (2008).
André Brunschweiler graduated in 2006 from the University of Zurich (lic.iur.; magna cum laude). He also studied law at the University François Rabelais of Tours (France).
