Boaz leads the Direct Tax disputes practice. He was admitted to the EY Partnership in 2021 having successfully built up the business from scratch. He joined EY in 2016 with a wealth of experience, having previously set up and led the Direct Tax litigation practice at KPMG. Prior to that Boaz practised as a senior tax and commercial litigator at PwC Legal for over 12 years.

Boaz is known for his strategic thinking and in-depth knowledge of complex tax litigation issues as well as being a seasoned litigator. With over 20 years of tax litigation experience, Boaz has conducted many of the leading, largest and varied tax litigation projects at all levels, namely: the Tax Tribunals, the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the House of Lords / Supreme Court. Boaz has also taken cases to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and the European Court of Human Rights. Over the years, Boaz has successfully settled a large number of cases by deploying mediation and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
