Career

Virginie has been a tax Partner at PwC Société d’Avocats, law firm member of the PricewaterhouseCoopers network, since 2001.

Since 2014, she has been head of the firm’s Financial Services tax and legal practice. She originally focused on banking and capital market advising on taxation of financial products /derivatives, transfer pricing and VAT in financial sector. For the last 8 years she has been more involved with investment funds (retail /AIF/ Partnerships), Private equity organisations, investment providers . She advises clients in structuring their investments and acquisitions in France and Europe through French, Luxembourg, Irish and non EU vehicles. Her client base also includes Private banks and wealth management groups . In her role, she regularly discusses with the French tax authorities on tax status of foreign entities (eg Sovereign Wealth Funds) and conducts litigation before French courts or ECJ;

She is also in charge of development of the Insurance sector for PwC Société d’Avocats and works regularly on hot tax topics for this industry relating both to direct and indirect taxation , as well as specific industry taxes.
