Managing Senior Associate / Co-Head of M&A practice

Janis is Managing Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal, who mainly specialises in matters related to Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Restructurings and Capital Markets. Janis is managing the firm's M&A practice in co-operation with the managing partner of PwC Legal in Latvia.

Janis has taken part in many of the largest Mergers & Acquisitions completed in the Baltics in recent years. He has also taken part in several reorganisation and restructuring projects, including company transformations, business transfers, and asset disposals.

Janis has in-depth knowledge of EU and Latvian regulation of financial instrument markets and investment funds. He has also taken part in many financing and refinancing transactions.

Before joining PwC Legal, Janis worked for a major Baltic law firm and gained practical experience in the Supreme Court of the Republic of Latvia as well as the Constitutional Court of the Republic Latvia.
