Position

Mari Kelve-Liivsoo is an associate with PwC’s litigation and public procurement team. She has thoroughly researched the application of the EU standard term directive on public contracts and a potentially resulting conflict between private and public procurement law. Mari has in-depth knowledge of state aid regulation and she has studied comparative private law and corporate social responsibility.

Career

Mari has worked as a teaching assistant at University of Tartu and is presently involved in the project “Engaging young talent to promote comprehensive understanding of EU law“ (UproEU) implemented by Jean Monnet’ Chair at the University. This project aims to provide a better understanding to the Estonian public of both EU law and its impact on our life by the help of the students and young graduates of the University’s law department.

Mari is qualified as a sworn translator and has had a long career with the EU institutions as an interpreter.

Mari Kelve-Liivsoo is a member of the Estonian Bar Association since 2020.

Education

Prior to her law studies, Mari completed studies in English Philology and got an MA in both conference interpreting and translation.
