Māris Brizgo is an associate partner and Head of Public Procurement practice at Ellex in Latvia specializing in mergers & acquisitions, reorganization, insolvency, liquidation, public procurement & PPP, joint ventures, and restructuring. He is one of the leading corporate and M&A professionals at Ellex, advising clients on complex corporate transactions through commercial and public procurement law matters.

Before joining Ellex, Maris had wide experience advising on various cross-border projects, particularly involving the application of the EU Law. Another key area of his experience is public procurement, where he has represented leading international companies in large scale tenders. Maris also represents clients in insolvency and public procurement disputes at courts and commissions.

He is a key member of the Shipping & Transport Practice in Latvia and has led various projects with clients in the shipping and rail transport sector.
