The Clean Energy Tool – DZP updates Polish content
The Polish renewable energy landscape has undergone rapid changes since last year, with amendments to the RES law and the Energy Law, and new biogas regulations. Further changes are expected: amendments to legislation regarding wind farms, nuclear law updates and new legal frameworks for hydrogen are set to be introduced this year and in the coming years. Thus, DZP is pleased to announce its recent update of the Polish content for the Simmons & Simmons Clean Energy Tool.
This important update includes new content that reflects amendments made in 2023 to Poland’s Energy Law which are expected to significantly increase the uptake of renewable energy opportunities. A considerable liberalisation of laws concerning direct lines from generators to consumers has diversified options for corporate PPAs, empowering developers and offtakers to overcome grid limitations and gain efficient access to renewable energy.
Since its launch in late 2020, the Polish section of the Clean Energy Tool has provided a comprehensive guide for stakeholders in a clean energy sector that has the potential to deliver an ambitious energy transition. DZP’s latest contributions ensure that the tool remains a cutting-edge resource, providing standardised, detailed legal, regulatory and market information. The content spans crucial areas such as land acquisition, environmental approvals, revenue streams, grid connection, disputes, tax, structuring and finance. DZP’s Infrastructure and Energy Practice has the expertise and experience to provide the critical insights required by investors and developers to effectively navigate the Poland clean energy sector.
DZP’s Infrastructure and Energy Practice, led by Partner Marcin Krakowiak, is proud to contribute to the Clean Energy Tool, a unique resource including a cross-jurisdictional comparison feature that encompasses around 70 jurisdictions worldwide. As the clean energy sector continues to evolve rapidly, the tool serves as an indispensable asset for clients seeking the most current and comprehensive information available.
