Stephen advises tour operators, other travel companies and their insurers. 2019 was a very exciting year with invitations to speak on package travel reform at many events. The challenges posed by COVID-19 have put Stephen in the forefront again in 2020, especially in light of the impact of the new Package Travel Regulations 2018. Holiday Law, the textbook of which Stephen is co-author has become authoritative. Other legal work includes defending personal injury claims (from illness to catastrophic injuries and more routine holiday accidents); regulatory advice regarding the CAA/CMA/ASA etc, commercial disputes and safety management. Acted in Milner v Carnival Pic 2010 and Moore v Hotelplan Ltd 2010 and Lougheed v On The Beach 2014; also Noble Caledonia v Air Niugini 2017, QBD and intervened in the Supreme Court in the Medhotels case (2014)
