Aref El-Aref has been a partner with El-Aref International Law Office since 2003, and been working in the Middle East and Africa Region and in the United States of America since. Aref specializes in M&A, Finance and Projects field. He advises multilateral financial institutions, international organizations and other DFIs on their debt and equity investments in emerging markets. In the area of corporate and finance, he has handled mega M&A deals for a wide variety of companies as well as large financing transactions. He has represented clients in M&A transactions for energy projects in Africa involving energy, and petrochemical facilities.

Aref El-Aref received a LL.B from the Lebanese University Law School, is a holder of LL.M from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and holder of Negotiations & Persuasion Degree from Wharton Business School. He is a holder of Executive Program on Leadership in Law Firms from Harvard Law School. He is admitted to practice law in Beirut Bar and a member of the New York Bar
