Position

Agnes is a Partner in the Private Client Department and advises on a wide range of personal, legal and tax issues, including Wills, Trusts, Inheritance Tax and all aspects of wealth preservation.
Agnes has a wide range of experience advising on contentious and complex estates and trusts, often with multi jurisdictional assets with specialist knowledge of judicial factories (borne from litigation claims). She also has substantial experience working on contentious cases regarding foreign assets.
Agnes has a keen interest in advising on Succession Planning for Family Businesses, including farming businesses, and strongly believes that working closely with clients other Advisors achieve best results.

The Royal Bank of Scotland, Private Trusts and Taxation (1996-1998); Trained at Fraser Brooks WS  (1998-2000); Bell & Scott (2000-2003) Senior Solicitor; Tods Murray (now Shepherd & Wedderburn) (2003 -2014) - Senior Associate; Joined Gillespie Macandrew in August 2014, made Partner May 2015 to date.
