Holding a Law degree from the Law School at the University of Lisbon, in 2003, she later completed several specialization courses, namely a post-graduate degree in Legal Sciences at the Lisbon School of Law at Universidade Católica in 2005, and a specialized programme in Real Estate Management at ISEG [Lisbon School of Economics & Management] in 2008. In 2011 Joana enrolled in a Master's Degree in Public Law at the Faculty of Law at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and in 2015 she completed the Executive Education programme in Law Firm Management at the Nova School of Business and Economics.
