Riccardo Ventura specializes in corporate and trade law, with focus on commercial transactions and corporate governance. He has a long experience in international private practice and inhouse practice, having led the legal staff of General Motors in Europe and China. Before his leadership role with GM, he worked in Turin with Brosio Casati e Associati/Allen & Overy, Ferreri and Pavia e Ansaldo. He has been lead attorney on various types of investments, M&As, distribution and service agreements, industrial and tech cooperations, including within joint ventures between large enterprises. His practice has been dedicated mainly to the automotive industry, where he has gathered experience on competition (block exemptions), emissions, homologations, safety and new technologies, like batteries and autonomous vehicles. In his private practice he has advised clients also in other industries.

Riccardo collaborated continuatively with the commercial law committee of Giurisprudenza Italiana, publishing articles also on other law journals and corporation law commentaries. He still collaborates with the Università degli Studi di Torino and the International Training Center dello ILO as lecturer in the International Trade Law Master.
