Senior associate

Federico Manstretta practices law in all areas of intellectual property, with particular focus in the areas of innovation, patent litigation, know-how and trade secrets.

He holds a PhD in industrial property and competition law from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and has spent study periods in the United States and Germany. He is the author of a 400+ page volume on the enforcement of Standard Essential Patent, and is a member of the Standards and Patents Committee of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI). He collaborated with the World Intellectual Property Organization on the WIPO Guide to Trade Secrets and Innovation, working on judicial enforcement and trade secret management. He has authored essays and judgment notes for the law journals Il Diritto Industriale, Il Diritto di Internet, La Rivista di Diritto Industriale, and the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice. He has been a speaker at, among others, the Parma Conference (2024), the Young EPLaw Congress in Brussels (2024), as well as several seminars and training events.

He has been collaborating with the firm IP LAW GALLI since January 2025.
