Position

Sharon Amir, Name Partner and Head of M&A Practice at Naschitz Brandes Amir, is widely recognized as one of Israel’s most distinguished M&A attorneys. His expertise lies in domestic and international cross-border mergers and acquisitions, formation of private equity funds (including venture capital, venture lending, mezzanine, and buy-out funds), and representing funds in their ongoing activities and investment transactions.

Throughout his impressive career, Mr. Amir has advised on notable and complex multijurisdictional M&A transactions in Israel. He has also played a crucial role in structuring and representing major venture capital, buyout, and investment funds in the country. His clients encompass various investment funds, as well as domestic and international public and private companies across diverse sectors.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Amir clerked for the Israel Supreme Court and gained corporate and tax experience as an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York. In addition to his legal practice, he lectures on “M&A – From Theory to Practice” at the Law Faculty of Tel-Aviv University.
