Career

Folkert is a co-founding name partner, specializing in international trade law, general EU and WTO law, and customs law. He is particularly well-regarded in the area of anti-dumping and anti-subsidy, having successfully represented clients in well over 170 anti-dumping and countervailing duty proceedings, including landmark EU and US cases, involving both industrial and consumer goods.

Clerked with European Commission. Some recent anti-dumping and CVD proceedings include Wind Towers, PVA, Birch Plywood, Sweet Corn, Bio-Diesel, Manganese Oxides. Court and WTO cases include Biodiesel from Indonesia (T-120/14, T-121/14, and WT/DS480). Older cases include Bed Linen from India (WT/DS141 (zeroing)) and Xinan Chemical (C-337/09 (on appeal)).
