Career

Chavah joined Asserson as an associate in 2019 and specialises in Intellectual Property Law and Dispute Resolution.

She was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia in 2019. Before joining Asserson as an Associate, Chavah worked with a top-tier firm in Melbourne, Australia, in the Intellectual Property practice group. She also interned with Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation’s in-house Legal Counsel.

Chavah has participated in the International Chamber of Commerce Australia Asia-Pacific Commercial Mediation Competition and enjoys both debating and public speaking. She is an avid reader, and enjoys writing short stories and playing piano.

Education

Chavah graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws, and was awarded First Class Honours in Law. She is also an alumna of the Monash Vice Chancellor’s Ancora Imparo Program. 

In her final year of University, Chavah achieved a High Distinction for her Law Honours Thesis on the topic: A critical analysis and comparison of the protection of genetic data under the Australian Privacy Act and European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). She was also awarded the Davies Collison Cave Prize for Copyright and Designs.
