Position

Since he began working as a lawyer, Martin Steuber has specialised in European (antitrust) public procurement law and in providing legal advice during comprehensive tendering procedures. He mainly advises contracting authorities on matters including the drafting of tenders, the evaluation of tenders, dealing with queries from bidders and objections under public procurement law. Martin Steuber further provides advice during revision proceedings before the public procurement divisions and higher regional courts. In this context, he also acts on behalf of private bidders. He also focusses on providing legal advice to construction projects as well as drafting and negotiating contracts.

Career

Martin Steuber studied law in Bonn, Germany. He subsequently obtained his Masters from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. After completing his traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Koblenz, Germany, he was admitted to the German Bar in 2006. He joined Luther in 2008. In March 2017, he acquired the title of specialist lawyer for public procurement law.
