Adv. Daniel Paserman (CPA) is a partner at Gornitzky & Co. and heads of tax practice.

Daniel serves as the Secretary of STEP Israel (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners). Daniel also served as a member of the firm’s executive committee between the years 2010 – 2016.

As head of the firm’s tax practice, Daniel is involved in intricate corporate tax planning – both domestic and cross-border. His experience also includes negotiations vis-à-vis the Israel Tax Authority regarding tax regulatory issues, seeking and obtaining tax rulings for both Israeli and global companies operating in Israel, as well as handling complex, wide-scope tax assessments for both international and Israeli corporations.

In the field of tax litigation, Daniel represents global companies and leading Israeli corporations in complex tax disputes before various judicial bodies, including the Supreme Court, whilst applying his interdisciplinary approach, vast experience and accounting expertise. He is considered one of the leading litigators in Israel in this field.

Daniel advises private clients in matters concerning family wealth planning and preservation, specializing in taxation of trusts and estates and provides tax planning guidance for high net worth individuals. He has earned the trust of both highly affluent families and individuals, serving as an advisor and connoisseur regarding additional matters, other than legal ones. Within this framework, Daniel often provides consultation in the area of philanthropy. He also advises new immigrants and returning residents who immigrated to Israel with regard to the projected ramifications of such a move on their worldwide assets and business activities.

Daniel is also known for his representation of financial institutions (banks, insurance companies, funds, financial institutions, etc.) with regard to various regulatory, corporate and tax aspects of their activities, including in the penetration of foreign financial institutions into the Israeli market and establishment of Israeli presence.

In addition, Daniel advises private equity funds in a variety of transactions, including fund formation. He has extensive experience in worldwide M&A transactions and has represented some of the leading Israeli corporations in multi-million dollar transactions, both in Israel and abroad.

Daniel is frequently invited to speak at Israel’s finest academic institutions and major conventions as well as in prominent conferences abroad, regularly receiving recognition from leading international legal guides for his expertise in multiple areas of practice. He is regarded as one of the most prominent tax experts in Israel.

Prior to joining Gornitzky, Daniel served as a legal clerk to Honorable Judge Theodore Or, former Deputy President of the Israeli Supreme Court, and worked in the tax department of Arthur Andersen Israel (today part of Ernst & Young).
